The World Health Organization designated June 7 of each year as a reminder of the importance of food safety and security, and declared it “World Food Safety Day.” According to the World Health Organization’s website, it is an occasion that aims “to attract attention and mobilize action to prevent, detect, and manage food-borne risks to improve human health.
