Armoush Tourist Investments Company – McDonald’s Jordan – has launched a groundbreaking community initiative titled “Hayy”, a holistic development program that stands as the first of its kind in the Kingdom. Rooted in the principle of mutual benefit, the initiative kicked off in two pilot locations: Al-Baqa’a and Aqaba. The project team partnered with local grocery stores, supplying them with essential goods and fully restocking their shelves. This not only revitalized small businesses but also strengthened their operational capacity. Once the stores were equipped, shopping vouchers and prepaid cards were distributed to vulnerable families in the area, enabling them to purchase their daily needs with dignity—bridging the gap between small business support and humanitarian aid.
What distinguishes the “Hayy” initiative is its comprehensive and scalable approach. Beyond supporting local shops, the initiative seeks to uplift entire neighborhoods through integrated community development projects.
